I'm trying to figure out what the stock injectors psi was for 1989 350 IROC ? It's a stock engine,tying squezze more hp. What would larger injectors 24-26lbs and hypertech thermomaster chip do for my 350 ?

 

you're not gonna be gaining hp from just swapping injectors. Sometimes, injectors that are too big will hurt performance. ...and hypertech = trash

hp is gained by letting more air into the combustion chamber.. simple as that.

 

Stock PSI= 22#s. No need to change injectors until you start making mods to your engine (major mods not free mods). Even then you can get by with stock injectors and and an adjustable fuel regulator, so long as your injector duty cycle doesn't get much over 85%.

 

I did all the mods in my sig....the last thing I put in were the 24# LT1 injectors.

 

The factory flow for our 350s is 22 #/hr... These injectors are run at the factory fuel pressure of 43.5 psi. I see above some confusion between flow rate and fuel pressure.

The best replacement for GMs 22 #/hr injectors are the Ford Racing 24 #/hr injectors. Stay away from the Accel injectors, too many horror stories on this board on that injector.

FWIW: I have been running my Ford injectors for 10 years now.

 

Yeah, you're right, didn't mean to put 'PSI' in front of 22#s . I am also running Ford 24#s with my 383 at 41 PSI. Sorry about the confusion in the reply.

 

I just bought some venom injectors and I was wondering when I get my adjustable fuel pressure regulator, what psi should I run it at? My stuff is in my sig

 

There is no magic number for a fuel pressure regulator, especially with your nitrous. It becomes a matter of trial and error as you find what pressure makes your car run the best without making it run too rich.

 

well im not gonna be running nitrous anytime soon. Lol is there a number partially magical
