Severe bog

i have an 86 z i just aquired from a family member and it has the worse bog i have ever seen when i hit the gas it just almost dies and sounds like it is sucking air real bad i check for vacume leaks replaced the oxygen sensor , cap,rotor,wires,plugs,and maf and it still does it i need help here i cant figure it out , i know it had some engine work done might even be a vette swap because the cap is for a vette it has the screws instead of twist locks and ideas will be appriciated thanx

make sure the intake tube around the maf is tight, and that there are no rips in the tube. Especially want to make sure there are no leaks AFTER the MAF sensor, as this will register as unmetered air, and cause problems like you are describing.

thanx for the tip, But that isnt it i check that all out and there is no leaks but i did notice on the egr solinoid there is a spot for a hose on the oposite side away from the egr port i cant even find a schematic to show where this hose even went nor can i find a loose one on the car
