SuperRam VS TPI

When you are going for high horsepower and torque, can you keep the stock TPI or do you wanna switch to a super ram?? What if you are trying to build a 383 stroker, can you use a stock tpi or do you wanna go with the super ram??

And what are AFR 190s????

The SuperRam was designed by John Lingenfelter and is produced by Accel.

The miniram is the way to go, I think. You will get more top end horsepower out of it. You will sacrifice some low end torque to the Super Ram but it is well worth it in my opinion. The miniram costs around $900 from TPIS and then you need to fabricate your own fuel rails or but them from TPIS for around $300. The Super Ram consists of three parts, just like the stock TPI setup. It has an upper plenum which is much larger than stock and has runners that are much shorter than stock but alot larger in diameter. The Base is just like a stock base with much larger ports. The miniram is one piece. You are going to spend around the same amount of money for both. Maybe a little less for the Super Ram but the Miniram is worth the extra price. I know someone with a miniram on their '88 Corvette and it flies. Look at these sites: www.tpis.com and www.lingenfelter.com

I would not buy a miniram for a 305 cui engine, Its designed for 350 or bigger engines. If you are going for a 383 the miniram is the way to go.....( even if I'm not going to buy one..)
