Is the TPI only a 305'er
Is the TPI only a 305'er
Hey It maybe sound like a dum question, but is the TPI also made as 350'er ?
And what is the different between a TBI and a TPI and why to choose the TPI ?
Many I've been talking to has tooled my that I'll be more happy with a TPI, Why ? :-)

Yes, the TPI system is also found on the 350's also. More commonly in the Corvettes of course. A TBI is "Throttle Body Injection" and uses a completely different manifold and intake system. A Tuned Port Injection system uses 8 injectors directed at the intake valve inside the cylinder head. It also uses "tuned" runners for actually tuning the performance characteristics and RPM range that the engine will make power in. A TPI motor will make more power then a TBI motor, but TBI's can still be potent as hell. TPI systems can get really expensive when you start messing with mods keep in mind. Check out the Tech articles here at Thirdgen and you will learn alot about these systems. You should also use some of the links too.
Stick with TPIs, I've heard a lot of talk about "potent TBIs" but where are the cold hard numbers to back it up? I'm not trying to flame, just my 2cents.
Anyhow, there are a crap load more performance parts for TPI.

TPI did come on 350's however the system was designed to run on 305's. The TPI setup is a whole lot better than TBI. TPI (Tuned Port Injection) has an injector for each cylinder. TBI (Throttle Body Injection) just dumps in the fuel similar to a carb only it does measure air and fuel ratios. The TPI is very stout and is significantly better than TBI as far as performance is concerned.
