Haltech Computer

I am considering upgrading to a Haltech computer system. I like the idea of a computer with no chips that I have to keep reburning all the time when I want to make changes. I have heard the systems are fairly priced and for under 1000 bucks I can do all the programming I want just using my laptop. Anybody have experience with these computers? Where can I find more info on haltech (besides haltech.com, I have looked there). Does this system require using new harness and sensors? Any input is appreciated!

Mike, I haven't installed mine yet but I do have one in my garage. Yes you will be able to program the computer yourself and you will not need to get a new harness. You just have to add the MAP sensor (If you don't have one). I got mine from Force Fuel Injection for about $700. The only reason I don't have it on yet is the engine has been apart twice since I bought the Haltech. I do have a couple of base programs and once you get it let me know and I will pass them along. Also note that the Haltech does not have any provision for a Knock Sensor. (Don't you work up at Lanier someplace?)
