how can I increase my throttle response
How can I increase my throttle response. I have 108,000 miles and she's getting sluggish. There's about a 3 or 4 second pause from when I lay the pedal to the floor and from when she actually goes. What about a new fuel pump, filter and regulator? Would that help?

chk your timing chain. I 'm not kidding my IROC had 98k on it when i bought it and the chain wasa so loose i had 10+ deg of play in my timing before the rotor would move. Try it. Take your cap off, spin the motor over to TDC by hand then watch or have someone else watch and count the degrees before the rotor moves. WOW
the difference was outstanding. Good luck .

sorry,, tps = throttle positon switch, located on the left side of the throttle body.. by increasing the voltage, you are opening the throttle body blades more.. by doing this it will give you better throttle resonse when you smash down the gas pedal. to increase it,, just loosen the screws on it and move it up/down.. use a digital voltage meter to make sure you dont go above .62 vdc. read this--> https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/tpimod2.shtml

I found increasing the fuel pressure (not too much though) also helps with throttle response. You need to buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so you can adjust the fuel pressure. On many cars, the fuel pressure is on the low side and this help promote better atomization and bit more power on WOT.
But don't go crazy with the fuel pressure. Too much and you'll run too rich at WOT and kill performance.
