something odd after losing a runner tube bolt...
It seems as though my car is faster tahn before.I realized that after taking out the passenger side runner tube screws taht there was a vaccuum sensaton at the screw holes,so I put the screws back in except for one, couldn't find it,will look for it another time.Well after driving around the last few days it seems my Z has gotten faster and seems to be getting better gas mileage. This is very odd.

Do you have any way to quantify this? You say it 'seems' to be running faster and getting better gas milage. What do you mean by it 'seems'? I would think that if you actually compared numbers from before and after, you'll find that there isn't much of a change. If anything, it 'seems' as though it would probably adversely affect performance
. Why did you take out the screws in the first place? If you did it in order to do some other mod, then that would probably be the cause of your better performance. Just a thought. Until you come up with some numbers that show improved milage or performance, I'm not sure it's safe to assume your performance is better. Maybe the screws have an electronic performance limiting device in them, who knows

Maybe it was running way rich before and the added vacuum leak leaned it out! LOL

Sorry that I didn't say what I was doing.I had just bought SLP's runner tubes and tried to put them on this past weekend but couldn't get the stock ones off.Well after only trying to get the passenger side off,got pissed in the process so I just put the screws back on except for one which I could not find it,the bottom one by the throttle body.Is there a hidden screw somewhere that I shoud know?I ran the car like that til now and had gotten 224 miles to a full tank.Seems was the wrong choice of word,it feels/is faster, you wouldn't believe how fast.Feels like a new car. Rob P. could be right though.

Yes there are two hidden screw, one on each runner. First is on the passenger side an comes into the back side of the runner from under the Tb. The other is the driver side and comes in from the back side by the distributor.

Thanks, are they like the others I know about them.Well I took a look at the SLP's[only glanced at them first when I got them] and there is one screw hole that threads in from the backside of each runner. So it looks like I will have to take off the plenum to do this.
