Black 5.7GTA, There's no way your TPI will run a 104mph in the 1/4 mile. You don't even have headers. Take it to a track and see what you come up with. The G-tech is worthless for 1/4 mile times. I'm sorry if I sound harsh. It's just not possible. I've put a lot of money and time in my car to get it where it's at. 104 mph would be really tough with your setup.

Tom,
The G-tech is far from worthless, it is actually about the most useful thing I own for 1/4 mile tuning. It does however calculate the MPH differently than an actual track run. The G-tech figure your actual MPH when you hit the line, The Track figures it between two lights over the last portion of the run. G-tech 1/4 is always high on the MPH.

Roy, how many MPH do you think the G-tech adds to the 1/4?? It must add like anywhere from 5 to 10 MPH.
Thanks,

"I didn't know a bored out Ford could go so slow" -Shenandoah
Tom, Thats what it said.I think it is probably 1 or 2 mph high but I bet thats about it.Stone stock in feb.when I first bought the car it ran 14.3@97.4 on Goodyear GSC'S at Speedworld,14.4@98 G-tech.MY car now has just about everything you can do to it without tearing in to the motor, minus those pain in the a$$ to install headers,so it should have added about 50 rear wheel horsepower, although I haven't dynoed it.Also it's a speeddensity, dual cat car which are usually 1-2tenths 1-2mph faster than MAF,singlecat cars. Now that the weather is not 100+ anymore and only 80+,I plan on takeing it back to Speedworld.
heres mine in my sign. wouldn't suggest using pep boy tires either.

I’m all about the cheap and effective stuff. Considering what little I have modified, I’m real happy with the performance. Lack of traction is my biggest problem.
Mods: All free mods except ram air, pocket ported 083 heads, ported plenum, crane AFPR, K&N’s, 160 stats, Acell coil, Edelbrock headers and cat back, no cat, 4th gen aluminum driveshaft, 3:42 gears, Torsen differential, all poly suspension bushings, boxed LCA’s and panhard bar, and locked TC(when at the track only).
Stock: base, runners, cam, computer chip, and trans.
Soon to come: SFC’s(Spohn or SSM), LCA relocation brackets, homemade torque arm, and new tires (brand???), SLP runners, ported base, Xtreme Crane Cam. Hoping for low 13’s, possibly 12's???.

1.Where does the pipe that comes up to the filter go? Are you actually achieveing a "ram air"? It looks like a very nice cold air to me..
2.You mean throttle body coolant bypass right?
3.I have no idea what that is..please elaborate..
This is a serious post and Im not trying to be a smarta$s..thanks

sounds like a smartass comment to me,,ahh well nervermind woundnt want to call you ******* when i dont know you
1, if you want to get technical its not a ram air but then again theres a fine line between ram air and cold air,and i dont think you would really noctice either way, i didnt,
2,i misspelled a word sue me
3,k and n speed density filter is the filter that goes on a speed density motor ,whats not to understand about that ????

I really was serious..I realized that I was sounding like I *****..I really was curious though..I didn't know if you had the pipe go down under the car or what..I was gonna ask where it went and If you noticed any improvements with the ramair. I also thought you had some amazing mechanical setup where you didn't need a throttle body..I didn't mean to sound pissy. I alos thought there was something K&N made called "kind" or something..dunno..there are wierder product names. Thanks for clearing that up..nice car

Looking to hit high 11's after upgrading the Vig to a higher stall and installing Long Tube headers and Mufflex 4" catback.
Its amazing what the stock L98 bottom end can handle. I have NEVER pulled the engine on this car. Don't think that our cars aren't capable of 11's while still looking stock, without pulling the motor, and without running a power adder. I'll be proving that they can shortly
All you need is a balanced combination.

Constantly run mid 14's, and 94 mph traps. Mods are in sig, however, the TES headers have not been installed yet. Nor has the crane afpr, or the hooker cat back, or march pulleys. When this is done she should run constant 13's, and when she can do that then I am done modding!!
