balancing of performance parts help!

everyone talks of the perfect balance for awesome results.so what do i need to do to optimize the performance of what i have?right now i am running a stock bottom end(27000mi)350 tpi, edelbrock manifold, ported plenum, stock runners, stock tb,afr 190 heads, slp 1-3/4 headers and catback exaust, stock cam(i'm shure this is bad but they really suck to change)msd 6al-btm set to 1 degree per psi boost and a paxton supercharger that puts out 6psi@5000 rpm---my tranny is stock along with my converter.am going to be installing 3.42 gears in place of the 3.23's this winter along with a new posi unit.also stepping up to 30lb injecters and a custom prom hopefully by me-with tunercat, programmer and the prom board.
any cam recomandations?
ps this car is most used as a weekend cruser not a drag racer so please keep that in mind.
thanks in advance for your input
pete

With a supercharger you could definetly benefit with a nicer cam. I don't know how much punishment a stock bottem end can take with a supercharger though. You might just want to wait. A stock bottom end has a lot of compression for a supercharger also, so that should be lowered if you get a rebuild. I think larger runners would better fit the plenum and intake you have right now though.

thanks greg--but when i put the afr heads on i actually raised the comp ratio to 10-1 and with the higher efficancy of the aluminun heads everything seems fine.seems that is because of the low boost level and the water injection that all is ok.
anyone else?--thinking that maybe 30 lb svo injecters are too big maybe i should go with 24's ?

You can handle 450 horse if you got fair mileage on it. As always, you might want to save the street beatings & kickdowns for the track and the occasional punk.
Hope it helps
