MAF vs. Speed Density
I have heard different stories about the benefits of both.
What about mods to your engine, which is more acceptable to mods MAF or S.D.?
Anyone ever run into issues with modifying your vehicle

Re: MAF vs. Speed Density
Most important benefits I'd say are:
- MAF system does not care about minor mods you make - it reads the ACTUAL air flowing through the engine (whereas a MAP system has to calculate the airflow from the intake air pressure)
- MAP sensor cannot be "maxed out" if you increase airflow - but the MAF sensor can (and then you need to find a way to make your computer guess what the actual airflow is) - and of course, a MAP sensor costs 10% of MAF
Hope this helps a bit.

ChampionN84,
These are both good methods. They will both need fine tuning to get everything running just right. Now the Mass Air Flow meter is less troublesome when it comes to adapting to engine mods vs the speed density method. If you don't want to fine tune your chip then I would go with MAF. When you have engine mods the sd setup will demand a tune out of you to drive her properly. They both have their + and - just depends on what you want to deal with.
