87 TPI Swap into 91 TBI???
I have a 91 RS that had a stock 305TBI. I wanted to put my 87 350 TPI in it.
What do i need to do for the swap? I have a running car with everything needed for the swap but i want to change everything over and need help quick..
I know i need to swap the fuel pump. Any little things i need to do with the harness? Any fuel line pressure issues anything will help guys! Thanks in advanced

I contacted TPI Parts about my conversion:

Subject: TPI Swap
I have a 91 RS that had a 305 tbi, I purchased a complete setup from a 87 305TPI iroc. What do i need for the switch? Specially the harness? I read about repinning the harness. Can i have the 305 tbi re done to work? Can i use an 87 harness with no trouble? Thanks for the help

Hi, we have a tech article that covers the parts needed to complete the swap on your vehicle. You can find it under the tech articles section of our website.
We can convert the original TBI harness to TPI, that’s not a problem. IT would be the cleanest, and easiest solution to go with on your end. If you try to use the 87 harness, you will need to repin the dash and firewall connectors to match up with the receiving ends on your vehicle. It is doable, but will require a lot of electrical work on your part.
I didn't know what repining is (aparently it is when you change the location of the wiring pins of the fuse box) i just wanted to post this because i saw alot of post similar to mine that haven't been answered!
Thanks,

There's also a tech article on this site, as well as numerous posts on how to do it, and how to re-pin the harness to work with TPI.
