I'm thinking of putting a cam in my 350 TPI car and was wondering best lift and duration for increased performance w/o sacrificing to much in terms of fuel economy. Things you should know the engine was originally in a police car so it had a TBI like the trucks it was converted to TPI using a 305 TPI unfortunatly they left the 19lbs injectors and ECM from the 305 in it and the car still pulled a 15.00@91.63mph faster then a stock GTA.

the best roller cam is like saying a cresent wrench will keep you from having to buy a big set of tools. there is no one size fits all. depends a lot on what you're wanting to do. as far as "best" goes the stock cam should work just fine if all you do is drive the car on the street.
