Hey guys I have a question regarding the plenum.
I just bought a used set of TPIS semi-siamised runners with a ported plenum that came off an 88 Corvette.
From looking at the bottom of the plenum it looks like it is off a later model without the cold start injector but the runners have the hole for the cold start injector.
Will this make a differance if it is from a later model.
second thing is the front has been ported completely open looks like for a large single blade throttle body will this work with the stock throttle body as I know the 88 had a triangular opening between the throttle blades for the IAC I believe.

What year is your car?? if you dont need the hole to be in the runners,, they sell a block off plate. if you do have a hole in your new plenum it might be the hole for the map sensor from later tpi models.. i think thats what you are referring to. you can probably just block that off.
as for the tb opening,, i wouldnt worry,, it might not be beneficial becasue of turbulance but it will work.. the iac is under the tb, it should not be affected by this.

 

Sorry my car is an 88 GTA 350.
This plenum has the port in the back for the map sensor which I thought I could plug but on the bottom side of my stock plenum it has 2 raised sections 1 for the EGR and I think the 2nd is for the cold start system. The ported plenum that was supposedely run on an 88 Corvette only has the one raised section where the EGR would be.
Will this plenum work with my cold start injector or will I have problems?
