their pretty much all the same depending what size motor it came off of.the 5.7's are bigger than the 5.0 tpi.they bolt up it just that the opening is bigger on the 5.7's.if you have a 305 motor and you put a 350 tb on you may run rich,or if you put a 305 tb on a 350 motor you mite run lean

The size of openings is the same(48 mm) on all 85 - 92 TPI TB's. In fact the same TB is used on the RamJet 502 crate motor. The 305 TPI uses smaller injectors(19 lbs/hr vs 22 lbs/hr).

88IROCs is right. There's absolutely no difference in size between the 305 and 350 throttle bodies. The only difference is the throttle linkage between years. 85-88 is one style, 89-92 is the other style.

The Idle Air Control pathing to the plenum is also different between the older and newer models.

May be other variations besides this and the cables as mentioned earlier, just be aware the two designs are not interchangeable.

As for the guy who said sizes differ between 305 and 350, this is incorrect.

If you're looking for a TB for an 88 TPI, you need one that will fit 85-88 TPI cars.

Yep, you can use a later model tb on your early model setup. I think people w/ later model TPIs can use the early model tb though.
