Code 42.
Code 42.
Well i've probly posted on this before but what are the procedures on fixing a code 42? I could find anything while doing a search. The code 42 comes up with a code 33 also. I'm still waiting for it to get a little nicer out so i can work on the 33 but i don't have a clue as on what to do for the 42..
Any help would be appriciated.

The '42' is an EST error. You should check the knock sensor connections, the EST bypass connector, and base timing. Check all the connections at the distributor, including the HEI module in the base of the distributor.
A failing HEI amplifier/switch module can aslo cause a '42'.
