what do I need, where do I get it, how do I use it

I need to tune my car! I cant seem to get the help I need... I have access to the best dyno equipment around so..... I might as well do it myself!

I have looked in my area for someone to tune my car and cant find anyone who is really into doing a good job and genuinely concerned about customer service. I contacted Jami earlier this year and after getting the run-around have decided I am not happy with his customer service or the equipment in the shop he uses. I have access to the equipment at Hutter Racing but Trevor is only familiar with tuning the LT1 stuff. I agreed with him to acquire the necessary software and hardware and he will help me dial it all in. I believe Moates is where to buy the stuff I need but could use a little advise on what exactly to purchase. I have a third gen with a TPI system out of 87 firebird and engine is modified. Can some of you gurus point me in the right direction.

thx

Jeff

Look at the tuning guide at start of the DIY Prom forum. I knew nothing till I started reading here.
I bought a copy of Tunerpro RT while I was shopping at moates.net. Took a couple weeks at night, and more more more reading, but I almost have the hang of it.
You need to learn to read your eprom with TP, datalog, and then make changes to your bin file with TP, and re-write and test. This is a very simple explaination.
