305tpi to 350tpi

I've done a search and found most my answers, but just want to make sure I'm understanding this right. I have an 88 camaro with a 305tpi/auto. I'm looking into picking up a 350 (l98) short block and heads out of an 86 corvette. From what I read my Tpi intake wont bolt up to these heads, and neither will my serp. pulleys. I found a guy seling the 083 heads off his 89 350 l98. Will these bolt right on to the short block and allow me to use my tpi and pulleys off the 88? Also what year computer (ecm) would I want to use? And from what I've read 86 corvette l98 motor are non-rollar blocks, is this correct? Any help would be great, Thanks Jay

Re: 305tpi to 350tpi

'86 was a changeover year for the heads on a Corvette. Some will be aluminum, but most will be iron. Either way, they will be the old-style intake bolt angle, so your '88 intake will not bolt up the inner four bolts.
Yes, 89 f-body heads will bolt right on, as GM used the same 14101083 heads for all 87-92 f-body 350's.
Yes an '86 Corvette block will be a non-roller, but will have the one-piece rear main seal like an '87+ roller block.
An '86 Corvette and '88 Camaro should use the same 7165 MAF computer, so you can use whichever.
