They do work but they are 64cc heads and 305s use 58cc Heads if im not mistaken.

I think they are too much for a 305, but I'm not 100% sure.

im geting new pistons so the 64cc chamber will give me a 9.4 compression ratio. i just dont know if the vortec heads will work with the smaller bore on a 305.

Yes, they will work as long as you don't put larger valves (2.02) in them. I ran them on my 305 for awhile - I milled mine .030.

I know when it will be out. Whatever month it is, it will always be the next month . . .

I'm tired of waiting for the Vortec TPI base...I am now thinking seriously about the S/R Torquers for the 305...anyone have these?

I personally would suggest going with the S/R Torquers', there're cheaper in the long run and flow just about as much as the vortec heads. You don't have to worry about buying the vortec intake and they are emissions legal without a problem. My mods are extensive but I passed emissions with them and they flow good too.

Anything wrong with using Vortecs (or fast burns for that matter) and the Ram-Jet intake? Everything will / will not hook up to the LS1 TB, yes? no?

how are they cheaper? $700 for a pair and i should get a good intake thats $300. I can get the vortes and intake for $700-800. 58cc heads would give 10:1 compression ratio that might be a little high?

I was thinking about using the Vortec heads on my car also,I got in touch with the guys at Pace Motorsports (paceparts.com). They told me that yes you can use them , but you have to buy the Edelbrock Intake (a little ove $300.00) and plumb your EGR to the rear of the block.
