Thats it, nice and simple. I dont need an explanation, just what you think. Its a 1988 Firebird Formula with every imaginable mod and the cam is pretty mild 452/465. BTW, it has 24 lb injectors. Do i keep the MAF, or go to SD? Thanks guys, youre great.

Since you already have MAF, I'd keep it. I only recommend using SD if you have an 85 TPI, or if you're switching from carb/TBI to TPI.

The problem you will have with an SC is that the MAF will max out at 255 gm/sec and the 165 ecm that you have will not be able to compensate.
But going to the SD with the 730 ecm will not help either. They only have a 1 bar MAP sensor so you will have the same problem. Yes, you can make adjustments to the WOT values in the VE table, but it is "guessing". You can do a similar thing for the MAF 165 ecm; again you will be guessing.
From what I understand, the only real effective way (that is fairly easy to convert) is to go with the ecm off a Syclone/Typhoon. They support a 2 bar sensor. Ask "What is involved in converting to a Syclone ecm" on the PROM board if you really want to convert to an ecm that can handle boost.
