Vacuum Canister Removal with DFI?

I know what you are all going to say, I should leave it in there, but this is one case where it is not a good idea. I have switched over to a DFI unit that replaces the stock computer and there is no provisions for it. Therefore it is inoperable. The electrical plug that goes to it controls a valve to open and close but now there is no signal so it will not work right? How do I make a venting system so the tank does not build up excessive presure? Anyone done this yet?
Thanks

Steve

I left mine. Haven't had any problems in two years. You could always go to a vaccume operated unit like on the older cars.

Just run a vacuum hose from the tube that is coming from your fuel tank. Run that vacuum hose to below your car, so any fuel/fumes will be vented there. I had it setup like that with no probs. But my smog hook up went bye-bye, and I had to put everything back on.

Better yet, put a cheap .99cent Napa fuel filter on the vent line then run it down under the car. Mine has been like that for 3 years. The only thing you DON'T want to do is plug that vent line!
