CTS keeps failing....PLEASE HELP!!!
CTS keeps failing....PLEASE HELP!!!
I have replaced my coolant emp sensor 3 times in the past 12 months. About every 12 weeks I get a code 15. I don't know what is going on. I soldered the connections on the new harness and applied dielectric grease to the sensor plug. This is really starting to get on my nerves. Does the cts wire directly to the ECM harness. Should I replace the entire length of the wire? Could the failures be caused by old, dirty coolant? Thanks.

All the cts is, is a resistor. Check voltage at the pin out for the cts on the back of the ecm and see what it reads when you get the code 15. I dobt it is a sensor problem, sounds like bad wiring. I have a book with what the reading should be, but im at school. SO email me and ill send you the scale and which pin out it is.
