What do you think?

Well I dont know what I want to do.

Choice one.
rebuilt forged internals
350 Tpi
manual tranny (maybe)
new heads
new valvetrain
1.6 rr

Choice 2

find a newer junk fbody with a lt1 and a t56 and swap them into the car.
( the lt1 will be rebuilt with forged internals, full exhaust. tuner.

Anybody have any ideas on what would be the better idea??

Or what would be easier?

Also will a t5 hold up to a built 350?

Re: What do you think?

Well I have a 91 camaro that came original with a 305 TBI with a 5-speed. Then I swapped it out for a 350 TPI, and I kept the 5-speed. Then the engine started knocking and I got it rebuilt and bored out to a 355. I also added TPIS Big Mouth Intake, TPIS runners, full MSD ignition, and an LT1 cam. But before I put the tranny back on I checked the input shaft and it had so much play I had doughts of putting it back in, but since thats all I had well I went that way. So I guess when I first installed the TPI the torque really beat it up. So I would say TPI and a T-56, dont do the 5-speed.
