Intermittent stalling problem

For awhile now my car has had an intermittent stall. It seems to only do it when going around corners, it just shuts off like someone hit a switch so Im guessing whatever is causing it is making it loose spark. The car seems to run and idle fine besides stalling out. The computer keeps throwing codes for the TPS but I didnt think a bad TPS would make it cut out like that. The car always fires right back up without hardly even cranking it. Could it be the TPS? If so why does it only stall in corners? Thanks.

Re: Intermittent stalling problem

Check the wiring, specifically at the connector and check for continuity from the actual wire itself and tip of the connector that goes into the TPS. There are three wires.

Also look along the wire and check it with your fingers for breaks or stripped parts that could be grounding out on the block. I had this 21 or 22 code intermittently and it was driving me crazy. I replaced the connector and the TPS and still kept getting it.

A part of the (blue) wire had stripped off and the vibration from the engine would cause it to swing and ground on the engine block, shorting it...and causing a code. Driveability problems would result and disappear just as fast.

Have you checked the TPS to make sure that it is good, with a voltmeter?

Are these the only codes you get?

I had a MAF stall an engine, but i am not sure about a TPS...
