can anyone recomend a good roller cam for a 305 tpi that gives good torque on the bottom end?

 

What RPM range do you want the torque to come on? If you are looking for a (stock type) torque start point of 2500 RPM with more upper RPM I would run a ZZ-3/ZZ-4 cam. The ZZ-3/ZZ-4 cam will pull hard from 2500 RPM to 5500 RPM.

I think the MAX lift with the stock heads is about .450 lift.
Limiting you cam selection.Go with some aftermaket heads and put in a nice cam.
Im running Comp Cam 210/220 .533/.544(1.6)
I plan on swaping out to Comp's larger
TPI cam the 230/244 .544/.576(1.6)112LSA
