Too much pressure

I am posting for my buddy... we put a tpi onto a gm 350 HO in his '77 camaro. Well, we checked the fuel pressure about 2 weeks ago and it was running at 69 psi. Then the other day, opened the hood, and fuel was comming out of the pressure regulator. So we went out and got an adjustable one, but even at it's lowest setting we can only get the pressure down to 58 psi. You guys have any ideas of a fix for this?? Thanks!

It shouldnt have a problem with that, I would be looking at the return line. Make sure you have it hooked up right. Whatever you did back at the tank, it should just be open to dump into it.
