86 chevy 12200411 upgrade??????

86 chevy 12200411 upgrade??????

Hey guys, I have a 1986 chevy lwb c-10 and thinking of upgrading to tpi with the 12200411 computer.

I'm planning to rebuild to 383, will vortec balancer work with the 383 crank(internal or external balance)?

Plus I have 350 transmission what kinds of mods would I need to run this combo? Should I just stick to the older computer. I just love the thought of having an older truck with OBDII. Thanks in advance George.

It should have the info you need. From what I recall the balancer shouldn't be a problem (with the vortec timing cover).
I can't recall what if any mods can be done for a 350 transmission since I don't believe it's electronically controlled. An aftermarket lockup kit may work. Check out this link for more info:
