Bigger injectors needed?
I'm getting ready to install my parts on my 91 Formula 305. My parts list includes SLP tri-y headers, new cat, 3"catback exhaust, slp intake runners, dual snorkel air intake and a 180 thermostat. I have a set of LT1 (stock) injectors from another project left over, would it be worth it to install them into my car or just bump up the fual pressure or both? Just curious befor I order my new chip.
thanks

the stock injectors are 19lb/hr, the lt1 are 26lb/hr... they would be too big for your motor right now...
i would say leave the stockers on there until you do something like a cam/head swap

I was always told LT1's are 24 pound hour, and they won't work worth a crap in your car without a prom. Bump your fuel pressure to around 50psi (vacuum disconnected) with the regular stock 19's and you'll be fine.

Re: Bigger injectors needed?
I'm getting another prom burned when I install the rest of the parts. I just had the injectors on the shelf and didn't know if there was any gains to be had. I guess I just bump up the pressure. Thanks
