I have a technical question!!!
I bought a trans-am 91 with lb9 engine and dealer said to me that the engine is original and it has never change. I dont have a/c and i have a dual elecric fan and on the engine block, there is a plug to put mechanical pump. So, my question is: Is it possible that my engine has be changed because somebody said to me 3 things:
1- in 1991, the engine block dont have a plug to put mechanical pump
2- all lb9 (with "f" in VIN) have a/c
3- if i have dual electic fan, i am suppose to have a/c and i dont have it. Plus, in the car, i dont have control for the a/c
Help me please!!! My engine is it original!!!

the fuelpump blockoff plate sounds normal to me. Remove one of your valvecovers and get the head casting numbers.
The car may have had an engine swap or been in an accident, but I wouldn't automatically assume that. GM did a lot of mix-n-match stuff with components.
