******* outside my office with his Mustang.
Well,, now,, even the blindest have seen the light – not that The ODB kept anybody in the dark,,, he’s answered everybody’s direct question,, just didn’t volunteer all the info. I think it’s funny. I just can’t figure out why he was willing to give so much info especially after that viscous feeding frenzy. He’s a better man than most under the circumstances. There’s no doubt in my mind he’s done a lot of street racing and Internet surfing. I bet he’s giving the info cause he knows if he showed up with a lot of visible weight removed from the car,, everybody with a lick of since would start rope-a-doping. 2950 lbs,, 439 rear wheel (don’t even need “serious” head work),,, the IROC I finished up for the wife is calculating 388 rear wheel,, same heads,, just very minor work with a UPI (that’s untuned port injection), through full exhaust. I’d bet The OBD has a dump tube,, uncapping,,, you all better hope he’s a forgiving man and lets you off the hook..
Well,, ODB accept my apology,, for being skeptical. I got a little torqued about the rods out of the block thing,, and not being able to tune,, and it’s easy to get rapped up in the mob mentality on this fricken Internet,, it’s hard to tell the Knows from the Don’ts sometimes. Anyway I’d like to e-mail you and BS about the 9.999 N/A deal off the boards. I’ve done a lot of engine R&D,, mainly in heavy a$$ed 3500 – 3700 pounders at the track,, some cell time, but it’s possible we could benefit a little from each others knowledge base. I refrained from posting a lot on the boards to avoid just the thing you went through.

I think he could come close enough to 10s with that weight, if he really knows his stuff. The mph thing is still off to me, but not by a big enough margin to drive 17 hours to find out.
I will get a local to check his car out, and if it looks like he described it, I have no reason to totally disbelieve him further.

Thank you BadSS,
are you close enough to meet in person to save us carpul tunnel? I'm very near St Louis.
Yes you all see how the incredible tech advice giving Mike kept saying no such thing as a ford factory gear over and over, so I kept quoting him in my replies so he can't go back and erase the evidence of brainless drivel.
I swear some people refuse to believe anything even when they see it themselves. If I had that attitude and jumped/flamed everyone that was faster than me, then I'd never get anywhere and still be running 14's or 13's or whatever.
Most of these people have never done any kind of valid testing themselves, so they have only printed information and word of mouth to put their faith in.
I urge everyone to collect as much info and opinions as possible and put them to the test yourself. That way you know for sure what the deal is.
And anyone requiring visual proof of whatever I've claimed is more than welcome to come up to me personally for a look. I will not go tearing down engines for free though. I would say $500 is a good wager for me to pull the intake, cam, and a head. I have no problem with that.
When and if I get my future busines going making & testing my own performance parts, they will be based on the equipment that I run now. Obviously there will be many nonbelievers that just didn't have the skill or 'luck' with these parts in the past. I fully expect to have the burden of proof on many occasions, and that's why I am handling all the flaming the best way I know how.

Well, it only took 103 posts to sort through all the bull****. If the times are in fact real, OBD I commend you. Now, what i am going to do is leave this topic up for a few more hours or so and then get rid of it. If anyone objects, let me know, or if G-Berg wants to ditch it now, go ahead, I don't care. Otherwise, if there are any questions please post new topics. This thing just takes up too much space.

There is one question that wasnt answered,. How were you planning on running at a sanctioned track and was running no cage? Like I mentioned in previous post, you mentioned only subframes. That and the fact you mentioned in a different thread that is wasnt all gutted out( which means a 2950 car to me),Without a cage here in Md., you wouldnt get 2 runs in here if you ran anywhere close to 10s. I was ready to make that bet in a second. Anybody would have. It was too easy. .
And as for Mike92 LX, and the 3.25 thing...well he is deep in the 10s with his daily driven ride, and streetraces almost every weekend, doing it for the last 10 years or more.. Mike is far from lacking as far as knowledge is concerned. Ragging on Mike for missing that is as bad as you not knowing the real specs of your cam.. On the net, if you hide things, or things dont add up, you will be called out. It is much different than a local street race where you have the opportunity to physicaly see the car. If you dont mind getting razzed for keeping some things under wraps, you wont care about dealing with the flameing over the net.
You have done a good job describing your mods enough after some prying to the point where it is enough for me to agree with you , and take you for being legit and not being a troll. Good luck with your future goals.
Cheers

Hey Bill , keep it up till later tonight.
several people who e-mailed me complaining about this thread, which I can understand taking up soo much dead space, but keep it up till later tonight, so everyone interested can see how it all turned out, and just lock it, not deleteing it.

Yes, it was an interesting read.
Sad as it is, ODB seems to be making an untrue claim, but the amount of people that jumped on him was disapointing. I mean, its turned into this "I know more about cars then you" BS.
What kind of attitude is that? I don't get it. ODB's car might not run thoes times, but do people have to bleed out of their eye sockets because they don't believe him?

If the ODB can run 10.9 NA with "minor" mods listed in his sig, then should I expect similar times with my new setup listed below? I'd flip my lid if I could run 12's with what I've got, and it's not that different than what he has!
P.S. I will be in St. Louis next week on business....I'd sure like to see this car while I'm there!

I would not call my mods anywhere near 'minor'. Your combo is a 350TPI correct? it is not even close to the same combination that I run.
Yes you may come see the car, no problem. Directions to my house are in this thread.
