Will Vortec heads bolt up to the TPI intake?

Will Vortec heads bolt up to the TPI intake or do I need a special base because of the tall intake runners on the heads?

Not as it sits. I think I read about someone here having the heads redrilled and he did something else to get it to work with the base. Maybe it was adapters. Hopefully whoever has done it can offer some advice.

There is supposed to be a vortec TPI base coming out, but I dont think anyone is holding their breath.

The bolt pattern is competely different, and the intake passages are somewhat different. You can have the heads modified to work with your stock intake, or you can wait for Scoggin Dickey to come out with their Vortec TPI intake, sometime this year. Dont forget the Vortec heads do not have EGR passages for emissions compliance, if that is a concern in your area.

Is the computer going to throw any codes without the EGR working?
