tbi to tpi fuel pump ?

Axle/Gears: 3.27 9 bolt
tbi to tpi fuel pump ?
do i need to change the sending unit along with the pump.or can i just add a external pump and be done with it

The sending unit itself is the same on TBI or TPI, you just need to change the fuel pump motor to a TPI one. Unless you have a heavily modded car, I'd stick with the stock TPI in tank pump instead of an external one.
