How much hp do you get from porting the plenum and gasket matching?
How much hp do you get from simply removing the restrictions in the plenum?
Also when you gasket match the runners to the plenum/manifold, what is actually involved?
Finally, what are the best dremmel bits for porting all of this?
Thanks for the time

about 2 years ago I ported the stock TPI
Plenum, runners and base.I put about 50+ hours into the porting.I also gasket matched everthing too.
I cant say how much HP I made, but there was a HUGE seat of the pants difference.
I used a dremel too, just use lots of WD40 to keep the bits from clogging with aluminum.

You get a much bigger gain by port matching the exhaust and gaskets. There is terrible overlap of both exhaust flange and the gasket. An easy 20hp depending on how bad, the gasket brand, and header brand & size. The 20hp figure would be for fel-pro gaskets and TES headers.
