How much would it be to Make my TBI a TPI??

I want a faster car, I want to keep up with my friends 88 Mustang 5.0 5spd. I have an 88 Iroc-Z TBI auto. Is there anyway at all to keep up with this guy? please guys some suggestions. thanks alot!

My best suggestion is to find a wrecked TPI car and take the engine and TPI off of it, because that 305 TBI is making almost next to no power and even a 305 TPI will give you around 250hp and 300 torque.(not exact numbers)
