Best way to remove filings after porting the plenum?

When I finish porting my plenum what is the best way to ensure that there are no little bits of aluminum still in it? I obviously don't want them getting in my engine.

Someone suggested petrol. What do you think?

Custom exhaust. 4 Inch pipe from the headders all the way back to a single muffler at the rear. No Cat.

Future mods due in March:
K&Ns
RAM Air
Air foil
AFPR

Hoping to get a couple of tenths with that lot

I ran mine through the dishwasher after blowing it out with compressed air. You may want to remove the MAT sensor (or relocate it) even though mine was not damaged.

The common published method for cleaning out blocks, heads, and other parts after machine work is with a brush and hot water with dishwashing detergent.

Scrub them out thoroughly, then use a garden hose to wash the stuff out. Do this 2x.

I then use an air hose to dry the part(s), and spray them down with Liquid Wrench to prevent surface rust. Rust isn't a concern w/ aluminum so the Liquid Wrench part may be avoided.

To get chips out of the base take the bottom pan off and the 4 massive 9/16" allen head plugs out and wash and blow out w/ air. Good time to get all the sludge & varnish that hides up in here out with some castrol superclean

Chuck, I'm cracking up imagining you pulling out your plenum along with your dinner plates out of the dishwasher lol

RMK, I used carb cleaner and sprayd with a hose. Then got a hairdryer to dry it out.
