Just took orders to Japan and trying to clean up the garage. Looking to get rid of my old HSR Manifold and Plenum. This one is the original casting with a brand new plenum (kept my old plenum since it was polished and painted). I upgraded heads and needed the larger ports of the newer version manifold. Nothing wrong with this one. Would like to get $200 plus shipping. pics coming soon.

 

How different is this one compared to the newer Chinese HSR?

 

The newer one has larger ports and more "meat", so you can port it to a larger runner; i.e. I could not port this manifold to the runners of the AFR 195 Eliminator heads I bought, not enough material to seal correctly. This one takes the smaller FELPRO gasket (IIRC).

Will it work on an 89 l98?

 

Of course, it's designed for it! When you start going for bigger ports to increase flow it becomes a concern. This manifold would have worked on the AFR 195 Eliminator heads I bought, but I wanted to port match the manifold to the head for improved flow and this early casting did not have the "extra" meat to allow for porting and still seal correctly. If you're not going extreme, this manifold will support up to 6500rpm on your motor, with the right head/cam combo.

 

My engine has stock internals with external bolt ons. Looking to get better performance than the stock TPI. I'm planning on doing a cam change and using the vette 113 heads. What else would I need for this intake? Rails intake etc?

Pics of the Holley 52mm Throttle Body. Just so I don't misrepresent, the linkage on the Holley 58mm Throttle Body I purchased for my upgrade would not work on my 1990 700R4 setup, so I swapped linkages. I believe the linkage on this one is for a standard transmission. I swapped the rod and TB Plates (butterflies) only.
