Oxygen Sensor on SLP Headers

I put some SLP headers on my Formula a while back. Actually I had them put on and was wondering is my 02 sensor now located further back than stock? Should I have changed it? Can someone please refresh me on what the 02 sensor does? Thanks for any info.

O2 sensor maintains 14:7 air fuel ratio.

Use a scanner, if it is operating fine then don't change it. I changed mine just for the hell of it when I did my SLP headers

I have had no problem with my O2 sensor as far as its location is concerned in my SLP headers. The sensor heets up fast and the ECM goes into closed loop mode quickly, as it should.

Same here. That is the most important thing.

If you notice it doesnt go into closed loop then you need a heated 02

Just saw a article in Hot Rodding magazine seems they had a problem with the stock oxygen sensor with SLP headers in a Formula like mine.
