Where'd you guys get your Walbro pumps?
I'm looking for a 255 lph Walbro pump for my 91 Z, and was wondering where you guys got yours from and how much? Should I replace the whole sending unit at the same time, or will the sender come with a factory fuel pump? All you fuel system experts throw some change in, I only want to do this once! Thanks guys.

I got mine from Cotton's Performance Center, 105 Walnut St., Agawam, MA 01001. Their phone number is (413)789-0531. (www.cottonsperformance.com). The part number for a thirdgen (TPI, right?) is GSS340M(139.95). Comes with everything you need for the pump install. Damn good pump. Straightforward, only thing you need to modify is the pressure line out of the pump to remove the stock pulsator (they leak, easy to do). Kit comes with the rubber tank seal, strainer sock, hose, instructions, etc...Works fine stock but also delivers enough for all naturally aspirated (non-radical) and some supercharged applications. Supports around 550 HP.

About the sending unit...Replace it if it's got alot of miles (over 175k), is usually inaccurate, slow to react, etc...or just as insurance. I didn't replace mine because it worked fine. No problems yet. Just be sure to get a good sender like an AC Delco or such. Cheap ones won't last long at all.
Check out Auto Performance Engineering
You can get a Walbro 255 lph for $93. The high pressure version is $108. These are universal type pumps but according to the info given it should work in a 3rd gen. I'm thinking of going with Auto Performance Engineering when I upgrade the pump in the IROC this spring. It will be a good time to do it when the rear end is being changed. I will need a much greater fuel delivery system soon anyways!

Awesome, thanks for the info guys. I'm going to give Cotton's a try first. I'm in MA too, so I might be able to take a swing down to Agawam. Thanks again!
