I am looking through the Jegs catalog for some 36lb injectors.

Venom seem to be over $100 cheaper than the Accel.

Is there any real difference between the two or are the Accel worth the extra $$.

Is there a better third choice?

Yes - go with Fordmotorsport Injectors... they are available at Summit and (i think) Jegs. Don't waste your time with the Accel or Venom injectors... if you do a search, you will see that the majority of forum members have had problems with both Venom and Accel injectors.

I would also do a search to see what others (running a motor similar to yours) are using for injector size... 36# sound too big for a 305 TPI.

YES, use ford and not 36# way to big for the 305 with not
much done to it, Accel has new injectors out, early reports
that I have heard were a good inprovement but who knows,
so go with ford

I put a set if accel injectors (26lbs) in my GTA and i haven't had any problems with them. I have heard a lot of people on this board put them down but i'm not sure they have even used them. I don't know how the Venom injectors are in a GM. I do know they never missed a beat in my toyota. IMO go with either brand and i think you will be happy.

I did tell you what I was talking about. I wanted to know about the difference between the two companies. I think you assumed it was for the engine in my car. I did not go into a complete breakdown on the engine I am looking at putting in my other car as I did not see the relevance. I appreciate your help though and did not see it as a waste of time..

I have 30# SVO injectors in my 412 with play left, depending what your doing to that 383 you can use anywere from 22# (very mild) and up.

I ran 24# in my old 383 and it was mild but had lots of play left with them 24#'s

The Ford SVO injectors are the only one's i'll recondmend
