IAT relocator who makes one?

I am wondering who makes one or how can you make your own.Is there an easy way,i am thinking about using one from a lt1 car by drilling a hole in the bello before the mass air and extending the wires.Any help would be appricated.

I bought the kit from TPIS. It is simply an extension wire with the right ends and an IAT from an LT1 car. If you cut/extended your stock wires it would be the same thing.

if your going to relocate the IAT you should have a fuel pressure regulater.by relocating the IAT your motor will see cooler denser air and your computer will compinsate by adding more fuel.even if your running lean it's still a good idea to have a fuel pressure regulater

Spank,

I've heard that SpankuGta, Inc. makes a good relocation kit.

Check this file:

MAT/IAT Sensor Relocation.pdf

Your '88 will be slightly different in the air ducts, but the theory and parts are the same.

Since you are running a Pontiac, you can make your own with a piece of 3.5" exhaust tube and incorporate a K&N filter.

I have been unable to find any pvc that is 3.5". I just got lucky to get some from a left over job at a muffler shop.

The pipe can be extended through the battery trays(like 4th gen kits) or just left short and inside the engine compartment. Buy a new sensor(no reason to tear apart the intake to remove the old one, just unplug it) and take it to a hardware store to fit the proper ntp bung. For some reason, I heard that 91+ sensors are more accurate.

I have a piece of pipe left over that is 7", just enough to pass through the battery tray. I could make one for you and ship it to your door for $20 plus cost for the sensor if you would rather just have someone else do the work.

See a pic of mine via the mods links in my signature.
