Inline fuel pump for TPI
Inline fuel pump for TPI
I am converting the 350 in my '69 Chevy truck over to TPI. My truck has the original in-cab fuel tank, and I want to use an inline pump. Does anyone know of a good pump that will provide enough psi for the TPI system? TIA!

Re: Inline fuel pump for TPI
Just about any inline for EFI will work. Needs at least 50psi operating pressure, flow rate more than 30gph. If noise is a concern (they can be quite noisy), find one that has isolation mounts built in. I have a Bosch pump (its for a 928 Porsche, aka the same one Accel and many others sell as a 'performance' TPI external pump) that we used for some years, covered in gas tank filler rubber hose with custom isolation mounts and it was STILL noisy.

If you go to www.jagsthatrun.com there is a section on other inline pumps readily available from junk yard cars. It seems like they tell of a half dozen or so. Been a while since I was researching their site.
I used their book and web site to put my first TPI in older car.
Good site.
