Going to the junk yard looking for knock sensor

I'm gonna take a trip to a self serve junk yard for a knock sensor. (I know, seems like a lot of work, but I like the junk yard)

Question is, are all 350 knock sensors from that era the same? I know they don't have any TPI's at the junk yard, but they have lot's of trucks and I'm sure I can find a efi 350.

I reccomend not getting one from the junkyard.

The knock sensor is pretty inexpensive & plays
a vital role in the EFI system.

As far as I know, a 350 knock from that
era (TPI or not) will work, as it detects a
wide range of detonation.. like that such as
a 5.7L motor can generate.

Find a TBI 350 if you can, that should work fine.

I ran a 305 knock on my 350 for awhile..
Didn't notice anything.. but, I did replace it
for peice of mind.

But, I say get a new one!
