That's not quite right. The Berlinetta uses a "Light module" to control all the cars lighting functions. This thing has no control over ANY engine functions. What you will need to do is to get the drivers side firewall wiring diarams for the Berlinetta and then for the GTA to see how much of the the engine wiring harness will be compatable with the Berlinetta Firewall connector.

A few of the wires that might need to be spliced are the wiper motor wires and the Speedo sensor wires. Both cars uesed a electrcia speedo sending unit so all you need to do there is to install the sending unit from the berlinetta tranny into the GTA tranny ( If it's even being swapped !!!)

Re: need tpi wiring help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing more then usual. I took the ECM right out of my car when I put in the megasquirt and all the guages and digital functions still work fine. (after I hooked up the sensors of course)

The check engine light even comes on for 2 seconds then goes out, like nothing ever happened!

an easier step would be to just swap in a dash from a later third gen?

Re: need tpi wiring help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, then you lose all the originality of the car. Like I said, the dash and the ECM have nothing to do with each other. If you can find an 85 TPI, it used the same ECM with different memcal... THe amount of wiring you would need to do would be minimal.
