head and cam combo

I know this has been gone over but I need to know or at least have some insight on power adding. My engine is stock internals and I want to *** a cam, heads, new timing chain, new pushrods, roller lifters, and roller rockers. Of course, I would be opening up the intake or replacing it with a higher flow one. Also, maybe installing higher flow injectors with this package. Can anyone give some advice on this for my winter project? Thanks a lot.

Re: head and cam combo

If you are keeping your engine displacement and TPI, I would go with a nice 180cc head. I went with Dart Iron Eagle's cause I wanted to stay with cast iron and I had already purchased a TPIS intake. AFR's are suppose to flow the best although they come with a hefty price tag if you want the CNC version. If you are upgrading your intake, you could always go with a nice set of Vortec heads.

I replaced all the stuff you mentioned as part of my 'winter project' (see sig).
It was alot of work but I could definately feel the motor respond better.

Just my 2 cents.

Hope this helps!
