code 14

I pulled my codes and got code 14 and I changed the coolant sensor on the block with the one wire and my gauge works fine but still get code 14 is there a second sensor that sends info to the ecm? Ifso where is it located on a 1985 iroc z 305TPI and how many wires go to it?
Any help would be appreciated!

Yes i dissconnected battary for about 3 hours afterwards(while doing other stereo repairs or mods). I read in the archives that there might be two seperate coolant sensors 1)for the gage 2)for the ecm But im not sure still trying to figure that out?and ifso where is it located?

ID,

The temperature sensor on the left head is for the dash instrument. The temperature sensor on the front of the intake manifold is for the ECM. The other sensor on the front of the intake is the cold start injector control. You need the sensor with the yellow and black wires to it.

If the yellow wire to this sensor is grounded you'll get the 14 DTC. If the sensor is internally shorted, you'll get the same code. Measure the resistance of the sensor and check it against the table at a given coolant temperature:

If the resistance is low, replace the sensor.
