TPI filter assembly question

I'm building a custom air cleaner assembly (TBI/CARB air cleaner + ductwork + TPI dual filter setup) it's going on a 92' camaro with a carb 350. Anyways, I ordered the TPI dual filter setup off of ebay and won it for a total of $20 shipped but it didnt come with the bottom peice. Now my question is, without the lower peice will this kill flow? will it improve it? Should I order the lower peice and gut it? ANY input will be helpful. THANK YOU!!

Re: TPI filter assembly question

Without the bottom piece of the Air cleaner Assembly you won't have any place to put your filters. Plus there is no way to bolt the top piece onto the car without the bottom. I would just order the bottom piece and gut it for better flow.
