Injector help, help needed very urgently.

i was taking out the fuel rail system and ended up breaking 2 injectors. I was wondering if anyone knows some cars that i would be able to pull FJ8 injectors from. Its an 85 tpi 305. any help would be greatly appreciated. i was wondering what injectors come in an 87 firebird v6, if anyone knows what they are would be appreciated as i can get them.

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

You need another 305 TPI engine. V6 injectors are smaller, like 15 or 16 lbs. 305 TPI injectors are 19lbs.

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

alright thx thats too bad, thank you for the info though.. umm would you or anyone else know if you can just remove the plastic cap part and take it from another injector. my father seems to think the plastic would be for it to stop grounding out and to center the injector. ive searched the internet and have found that the replacement Fj8 injectors also fit cadillac deville 1991-95 4.9 l and also 1990 4.5 l, does anyone know if this is correct and if its the 19 lbs that i would need? thank you in advance. if anyone has any 19lbs/h injectors for sale that live relative close to scarborough then plz msg on here as im not sure how to use pm yet.

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

i went with brand new ford SVO 19LB injectors and they're great. no complaints at all. if you need injectors, i'd HIGHLY suggest going with them. my injectors were messed up after a bit of a bout with some sugar, all were damaged permanently and three were jammed open. the car runs like a new car, even before the sugar incident. check those ford SVO 19lb injectors out.

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

thx alot for the advice ill see later if what my father did doesnt hold out. the cap of the injector was broken so my father searched the cars at standard auto wreckers till he found one that was the same, actually he found it on a neon. it took 4 injectors to get one cap, but that was all i needed so i saved the 90 dollars. car seems to be running fine. his friend today was telling him about the injectors from a ford i thinks it was the svo saying they were slightly bigger and that they preform better. his friend is going to find out more for me, but if the injector applies more pounds of pressure the computer needs to be adjusted right?

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

if the injector is pushing out more then 19LB on a stock 305 and stock 305 computer, the computer needs to be tuned for the added fuel- and the added fuel would be a waste if the engine was totally stock.

yes they are ford 19LB SVO injectors. they aren't the quietest injectors on the market but i can honestly say they are among the best money can buy for the 305. you wont be disappointed

Re: Injector help, help needed very urgently.

well i live in toronto, ontario and everything here is expensive. for the stock injectors they wanted 90 dollars each. I believe that injectors are working, but sometimes im getting hesitation as i always have. when i first cahnged it it was fine didnt get hesitation like i did before but i adjusted tv cable and now seem to be getting hestiation again and sometimes a rough idle.
