MAF or speed density?

What years was MAF installed on TPI systems and what years were speed density systens put in instead?
Also, which is better?
is it worth it to convert?

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
85-89 is MAF, 90-92 is speed density. Which is better depends on who you talk to.
