idle issues

im back again with issues again, i had my charcoal canister relocated on its side which put all the pellets inside the line from my tank to the canister. Blew the line out and it ran fine for about a couple of days. now im coming back home to go to the track and i can feel it hesitating a little, nothing major compared to last time. It will idle rough then just die. me thinking its the line with trash in it again, i just disconnect it from the valve, still messes up. the pump sounds have been changing a lot since the first time i put it in last year compared to my issues ive been having lately. when the cansiter messed things up it sounded like it was not priming as long and like it was pushing air. got that fixed and it sounds fine. now it sounds fine sometimes and not others. when it primes and sounds good it starts and runs fine but when the priming sounds different it runs rough. it will start back up act fine then idle rough and die, starts back up and acts like nothing never happen and then a little later it dies again. the psi when it runs rough, i havent been able to see the psi difference from when its good to when it starts to mess up, but running good its at 40 from adjustment, idling rough it was around 25 to 30 one time i was able to see it. any comments are welcome. i just need to know whether it sounds like its the pump or something else. i dont mind tearing it back down, but just dont want to if that doesnt sound to anyone like its the problem. pump is a bbk 255 lph i believe.

Re: idle issues

Yeah, BBK pumps are good, it doesn't sound like the fuel pump to me.

Re: idle issues

yes ive checked for codes, nothin. if there is something wrong then its not bad enough for the computer to set a code i guess. fuel pump relay maybe? It only seems to do it on long trips. its 3 hours to my college and i can drive up there with no problems but on the way back after the end of the week it wants to mess up. But on short trips i can drive it around town all day long and take it to work but it doesnt want to glitch at all

Re: idle issues

I'd try the relay, they're not very expensive.
