Q's about Speed Density TPI intake pieces...
I'm ditching my tpi for a ramjet and I need a piece to fit between the Y-piece that covers the air filters and the throttle body. I don't want to use the one on my tpi now because it is the maf sensor, which I won't need for the ramjet, and will probobly be a bit of a bottle neck. Not to mention I don't want to risk it getting damaged for when I switch back to tpi. Well my question is what goes there on the later cars not equiped with a maf? Is it just a straight piece of plastic duct work?? What year did the camaro drop the maf??? Any help on this or any other possible solutions would be appreciated.

Its a straight piece of black rubber that goes from the intake to the TB. But its oval shaped for the TB so it wont fit on the ramjet's TB. You'll have to fabricate something.

This piece is the same for all 90-92 TPI Camaros, as they're all speed density. MAF was 85-89.

Thanks for the reply kevin-
that is exactly what I was talking about. don't you think that the ovalized part of that piece would be flexable enough to go into the shape of a circle? it looked like thats what they used when they put the rj in that yellow rs that some of the popular mags have done right-ups on but I am not sure...
