1.6 rockers is a good deal?

i just compared few aftermarket cams and noticed that i could have almost the same cam with high ratio rockers...

GTA's stock cam 10066049
duration: 207/213
lift with 1.6 ratio: .443/.459
lobe: 117deg

Crane 104121
duration: 204/214
lift with 1.5 ratio: .429/.452
lobe: 116deg

SLP 51002
duration: 206/214
lift with 1.5 rockers: .470/.490
lobe: 112deg

Competition Cams 08-300-8
duration: 206/210
lift with 1.5 rockers: .450/.480
112deg

what kind of rockers i need? stock valve springs are ok? computer likes it? would it be just simple bolt on thing? anyone tryed it to 350 TPI?

I also would like to know about changing the rockers, I have to do my valve seals anyways so while the rockers are off I was thinking of going to a 1.6 ratio with a roller tip.

Does anybody know if this would be worthwhile?

Thanks
Mark

i think the stock heads are ok up to about .500 lift, i dont think you will be going over .500 lift with 1.6rr and a stock cam.

i have some 1.6rr for sale comp cams roller tip rockers 3/8 stud (not sure what stock studs are?) roller tips $100 shipped

The lifts of the cam may be the same when you add 1.6's to the stock cam, but the overall profile is probably much different. You have to take into account how fast the valve is opened, which is affected by the ramp. Faster, the better, but harder on the valvetrain. LSA makes a difference, too.
